Your Friendly Neighbours: DevRel for Internal Engineers

So many of us already have prepared/repeated scripts and some funny stories explaining to others what it is we do as DevRel professionals. We have come to expect this question from folks outside our community. So many times, our explanations tell about how we are working to improve the experience of developers/communities that use or intend to use our company’s product/platform. So many times, our target audience is defaulted to be an external community.

At Adyen, with a team of internal Developer Advocates, they have expanded their DevRel focus to include a target audience that is their internal engineers. In this talk, Amy and Afzaal will walk through the story of why the role was created and some of the activities they do for their engineers. They will share some of the feats they have accomplished and also start a discussion around what makes the role important to drive productivity, engagement, and job satisfaction for internal engineers’ experience.
